In this video, Dr. Dee reviews simple ways to use a foam roller at home. He explains that foam rolling can help work through tight muscle tissue, encourage fresh blood flow, and ease tender trigger points that may contribute to tension or discomfort.
The demonstration includes rolling the mid back, gently working along the muscles beside the low back, loosening the base of the skull, and rolling areas of the legs such as the IT band, thighs, hamstrings, and calves. Move slowly, use controlled pressure, and avoid forcing painful areas. Foam rolling is not appropriate for everyone, so ask Dr. Dee, Dr. Geskie, or the First Choice Chiropractic team if you are unsure whether it is right for you.
