Low Back Rotator Stretches

In this video, Dr. Dee and Dr. Geskie demonstrate a low back rotation stretch for tightness or spasm in the muscles on either side of the spine. You lie on your back with your feet flat, shoulders square, and arms out to help keep the upper body steady.

From there, gently drop your knees from one side to the other while keeping the shoulders down so the movement comes through the low back. Hold each side for about 15 to 20 seconds, repeat several times, and move evenly in both directions. This stretch is not right for every low back condition, so consult the First Choice Chiropractic team before using it if you are currently in pain.
