In this video, Dr. Dee and Dr. Geskie demonstrate gentle neck stretches for tightness in the upper trap, scalenes, and surrounding neck and shoulder muscles. The stretch begins by keeping one shoulder anchored so the shoulder does not rise while the neck is being stretched.
The demonstration includes a side-bending stretch, then slight head turns to target different parts of the neck. Each position is held for about 10 seconds, repeated on both sides, and performed without pulling into pain. Neck stretches are not right for every neck condition, so ask Dr. Dee, Dr. Geskie, or the First Choice Chiropractic team whether these are appropriate for your symptoms.
