In this video, Dr. Dee and Dr. Geskie demonstrate the posterior pelvic tilt, a common exercise for low back care. With your knees bent and feet flat, you gently tilt the pelvis backward so the low back flattens toward the floor.
This movement helps strengthen the abdomen and pelvis while encouraging motion through the joints in the back of the spine. The video recommends holding the position for about 5 seconds and doing 10 repetitions, often morning and evening if appropriate. This exercise is not right for every back condition, so consult the First Choice Chiropractic team before starting if you are having low back pain.
