Postural Corrections Techniques

In this video, Dr. Dee explains forward head posture, sometimes called text neck or upper cross syndrome, and how it can contribute to neck tension, headaches, shoulder tightness, mid-back discomfort, and numbness or tingling into the arms or hands.

He demonstrates posture correction exercises that focus on bringing your head back over your shoulders without tilting your chin upward. These include gentle chin retractions, pushing the back of your head into a wall, towel, hand, or headrest for light resistance, and a wall posture drill that adds shoulder and wrist positioning. Start gently and stop if an exercise causes discomfort. If you cannot get into these positions comfortably, the First Choice Chiropractic team can evaluate what may be limiting your movement.
